Three Tips for When Your Air Conditioning Goes Out

HomeBlogThree Tips for When Your Air Conditioning Goes Out

It is summer, and it is hot. The Arkansas heat is in full force. The last thing you want or need is for your air conditioning to stop working. Unfortunately, this does happen sometimes, and you need to know what to do if it happens to you. If you find yourself without air conditioning, then here are three tips to help you get back to a cooled and comfortable home.

Three Tips for When Your Air Conditioning Goes Out

  1. Circuit Breaker – If your air conditioning is completely off, you can go inspect the circuit breaker. If the breaker has been tripped, you can try turning it back on. It is best to have a qualified air conditioning repairman come out to inspect and try to figure out why your circuit breaker was tripped.
  2. Air Filters – Air filters help to keep the air clean that is being circulated through your home from the air conditioner. These filters need to be regularly replaced. If they are not being regularly replaced, your air conditioner will have to work harder to keep your home cool. This can cause your air conditioner to stop working altogether. If the air filters are more than a couple of months, then try replacing them.
  3. Thermostat – Check to make sure that the thermostat is set to where you want it. It is possible that someone, especially if you have kids, changed the settings and that is why your air conditioner is not running when you would like it to.

When you notice that your air conditioner isn’t working or isn’t working as well as it usually does, then look at these three things first. If you have checked these three things and you still don’t have air conditioning, then it is time to call a professional like ours at Workman Heating, Air and Appliance Repair.
